How to obtain Visa

To obtain a Visa the following should be submitted to the consular section of the embassy

A valid original passport (“Permit for Reentry” or “Refugee Travel Document” are also acceptable). A passport should have at least two blank visa pages and should be valid for at least 90 days upon conclusion of your trip.

– An ORIGINAL (not a copy) of a letter of invitation from a Belarusian travel agency. Hosting organization should be registered as a tourist company by the Belarusian authorities. 

– An ORIGINAL (not a copy) of a letter of invitation from a Belarusian university (college etc.), approved by the local passport and visa office of the Ministry of Interior.

The Application form — the official Belarusian visa application form. This application form should be completed in a computer and after it should be printed.

The form should bear the original signature of applicant.

 

One passport size photo (35-45 mm, light background, face — 70-80% of the picture) of the applicant which should be stapled to the marked space at the upper right-hand corner of the application form. Do not staple the face.

 

The Embassy accepts only Euro. The applicant should pay fees in UBA only after the Consular’s check of all documents necessary for the visa issuing

For Student VISA

General Medical Certificate legalized by the Ministry of Health and the MFA of Nigeria issued not later than three months before entry to Belarus 

Medical Certificate confirming absence of HIV/AIDS legalized by the Ministry of Health and the MFA of Nigeria issued not later than three months before entry to Belarus

Supporting Documents

  • Transcripts of school-leaving certificate of general educational schools and college, university diploma etc to be legalized in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 

 

  • Certificate of the Ministry of Education of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which confirms accreditation of general educational schools and college, university etc. and right of a graduate to continue study in the Higher School, to be legalized in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 

 

  • Copy of birth certificate to be legalized in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 

 

  • Return ticket with open date valid for one year.

 

  • Recent bank statements of parents or a sponsor (for the period of half a year).

Documents Required for Admission

  • Medical report from Government approved hospital,  HIV and chest x ray( this medical report should be legalize in ministry of foreign affairs) and the original copy should be  presented on arrival in the university.
  • SSCE  and other certificate should be legalized at the ministry of foreign affairs, the original copy should be presented to the university on arrival in the university.
  • Birth certificate 
  • Current International passport. With Belarus Visa
  • 10 Passport Photograph ,
  • Health Medical Insurance for 1year.
  • All students must buy one year  two way air ticket

NOTE

All students are required to have at least $1500 as BTA outside their school fees

  • It is the responsibility of the students and their Guardian to ensure that documents and certificates submitted for admission  purposes are original
  • The University reserve the right to reject application for admission based on forged documents.
  • Students must be disciplined and ready to abide by the Rules and Regulations of Belarus Universities and that of Republic of Belarus
  • SMOKING, DRINKING OF ALCHOL IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE HOSTEL 
  • STUDENTS  PAY FOR EVERY HOUR THEY MISS LECTURE  AND IF THE  NUMBER OF HOURS  IS HIGH ,WITHOUT REASON,THE UNIVERSITY WILL DISMISS  THE STUDENT
  • GOOD HANSET AND LAPTOP COMPUTER IS RECOMMEDED AS SUCH ARE EXPENSIVE HERE
  • HAIR DRESSING KITS  FOR GIRLS ARE ALSO RECOMMENDED
  • Good books(in disc) on advanced chemistry, biology and biochemistry (in disc) will be recommended as our experience has shown that  majority of our students have some difficulties in these areas mainly because students from other countries do advanced level  G.C.E(GENERAL CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATION) BEFORE COMING TO STUDY MEDICINE.
  • We recommend that parents open  naira master or visa card for their children for  easy transfer of  upkeep money every  month(the master or visa card should be opened using the students name or joint account with the student)

General information about visas at the Embassy of Republic of Belarus

Visa processing starts only after the embassy have collected ALL necessary documents, interviewed an applicant and received money for the required visa.

Normally it takes us 5 (five) working days to issue a visa; express visas are proceeded within 2 (two) working days.

Please, note that we DO NOT ACCEPT visa documents delivered to the Consular Section by courier services.

Every applicant has to submit his/her documents and come for the interview PERSONALLY.

The Consular Section NEVER informs the Applicant about the reasons for refusal.

In the event of visa denial the consular fee is not reimbursed!

Please Note that the Embassy collects the Visa Fees as the only payment for the Visa issuing

The Embassy does not cooperate with any mediators or agents on the subject of granting any rights or privileges which go beyond these visa requirements or somehow contradict them!

Legalization of Documents

The Federal Republic of Nigeria is not a Member State of Convention canceling the requirement of legalization of official foreign documents from 1961 (the Hague Convention). That is why the official documents issued from establishments and organizations of the Republic of Belarus and intended for actions on the territory of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and vice versa subject to consular legalization.

Legalization of documents (consular legalization) consists of determination and certification of authenticity of signatures on documents and compliance thereof with laws of the state of their origin.

Consulate legalization confirms authenticity of signatures of officials on documents and seals of competent state authorities as well as correctness of execution and compliance with national laws of documents sent from one state and intended for presentation in any other state.

Documents, issued by Nigerian authorities and intended for usage in the Republic of Belarus are legalized in the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Abuja after their legalization in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Consul testifies the authenticity of the signature of the official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by signing the document with legalizing inscription.
